WOOYOO Dessert at PIK

Hey guys! 'Sup?

Recently I heard a lot of buzz about this Korean ice cream parlor called WOOYOO. Nothing can let me wait any longer - I've got to try out this place.

Yes, I am experimenting with my pictures.

WOOYOO boasts their soft, milk-based Korean ice-cream. They boasted well though - their ice cream is reaaaaaalllllyyyyy smooth in texture and light in creaminess.

Above are the Mango Mango (left) and the Honeycomb (right).

Did you spot the dry ice fumes seeping off from the cups? It was brilliant presentation. 

Honeycomb Ice Cream, Rp. 35k

You guessed it; that's real honeycomb perching on top. To my surprise, the honeycomb was crunchy and undeniably sweet (coated in honey). The ice cream itself was generously drizzled in honey, leaving gentle honey sweetness and soft, milky taste to the tongue. I RECOMMEND THIS ONE, GREATLY.

 Mango Mango, Rp. 35k

To be honest, this tasted like any other ice cream. Of course, the milky smoothness was still present in the ice cream, but without the honey there's nothing peculiar in this dessert compared to other mango ice creams. The mango was sweeeet though.

Dark Chocolate Schneeballen, Rp. 30k

Schneeballen literally translates to snow balls. The name's not quite fitting to the one I had during my visit, but I couldn't care less. Really, who can reject crispy waffle/cookie hybrid, coated in dark chocolate and topped with peanuts? I can't. The taste? Addictive. Must try.

In order to feast on this treat, diners must cover up the ball with provided paper, and then smash it with a wooden hammer. I must admit, the people behind this dessert house must be insanely creative and obsessed with dramatic presentations.

Pretty impressive, huh? I couldn't even restrain my fingers from grabbing a piece.

Mochi Cheese Bread, Rp. 15k

For fans of bread made from mochi-based dough usually sold in Korean bakeries, you'll love this one. I don't fall into the category so I can't really say much. 

So there you have it! That was a documentary of my first visit to WOOYOO, which will definitely not be my last. I rate my experience 4 stars out of 5, just because I really enjoyed the Honeycomb Ice Cream and Schneeballen.

Try this place out, people. It's cozy and nice there and unlike most dessert houses that emptily gained popularity; this one deserves it.
